Responsibilities

Build and evolve the core real-time collaborative editing experience using CRDTs and WebSockets.
Ship full-stack features integrating AI capabilities into intuitive, polished user experiences.
Optimize frontend performance for a fast and responsive editor at scale.
Collaborate with designers to implement high-quality UI interactions and visual details.
Contribute to and suggest improvements for open-source projects supporting Gamma’s web application.
Design APIs with backend engineers to support collaboration and content creation.

Requirements

3+ years of experience building production web applications with strong JavaScript, React, and modern web development fundamentals.
Passion for excellent web experiences and strong attention to detail in UI implementation.
Experience with real-time collaborative systems, WebSockets, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with CRDTs or operational transformation for collaborative editing.
A curious, low-ego mindset.
Experience building rich text editors or content editors is preferred.

Benefits

Full-time position with a base salary range of $180K–$310K plus benefits and equity.
Strong in-office culture requiring work in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.
