Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate embedded software in C/C++.
  • Build and incorporate embedded and system test software using C/C++ and Python.
  • Develop and deploy Linux OS applications in Python and C/C++.
  • Build and deploy FreeRTOS applications in C/C++.
  • Develop applications for microprocessors, embedded processors, and FPGAs.
  • Design and implement bare-metal embedded device drivers.
  • Debug and resolve complex integration issues.
  • Design CI/CD infrastructure and automation services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product reliability and security.
  • Lead design reviews and documentation tasks.
  • Work autonomously on well-defined problems within an Agile Scrum development framework.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of full-time relevant industry experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance is required.
  • Experience using C/C++.
  • Experience with multithreaded applications and inter-process communication.
  • Understanding of real-time concepts on embedded Linux or RTOS platforms.
  • Preferred experience includes C/C++ software development, CI/CD practices, AI toolkits and platforms, Python, Linux kernel driver development, RTOS and standalone embedded applications, Ethernet standards and protocols, network security protocols, and emulation environments.
  • Preferred familiarity includes Git, GitHub, Jira, Jama, Artifactory, and Altera FPGA ARM-based architectures.

Benefits

  • Site-based position requiring at least 3 days or 60% per week at a Viasat office or work location.
  • Flexible onsite/hybrid work arrangements are determined by the role and team.

Salary: $95k - $177k/yr
