Software Engineer - Development Platform in Australia

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement iterative and architectural improvements to software development workflows.
  • Scale and advance trading-system build systems and development tooling.
  • Optimize compile times, improve code quality systems, and simplify software processes.
  • Troubleshoot build infrastructure issues and implement improvements.
  • Design and build infrastructure for development, build, test, and release processes.
  • Partner with development teams to align platform capabilities with evolving needs and drive adoption of engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software development experience in Python, Java, and/or C++.
  • Knowledge of stable, dependable build environments and rapid feedback cycles.
  • Prior experience with Bazel or another monorepo build system.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, TeamCity, or GoCD.
  • Experience with containerization technologies and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder collaboration across product design, development, and delivery.
