Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and data pipelines for ingesting, processing, storing, and serving sensor datasets.
  • Develop scalable systems using Python and AWS cloud services.
  • Build APIs, data services, and tooling for efficient access to autonomous vehicle data.
  • Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Own production services and participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Optimize storage, compute, and data movement costs while maintaining performance and availability.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Support infrastructure automation and operational excellence across the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong software development experience in Python.
  • Experience building and operating backend services, distributed systems, or large-scale data platforms.
  • Professional experience with AWS and deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestrators.
  • Experience designing data pipelines, ETL systems, or data processing frameworks.
  • Experience developing containerized applications, backend microservices, and event-driven systems or data pipelines.
  • Past experience in the autonomous driving or automotive industry, specifically backend and cloud development.
  • Preferred: strong ownership and project delivery experience from design through production operations.
  • Preferred: experience building distributed systems or cloud data platforms processing large-scale datasets.
