Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services and data pipelines for ingesting, processing, storing, and serving sensor datasets.
Develop scalable systems using Python and AWS cloud services.
Build APIs, data services, and tooling for efficient access to autonomous vehicle data.
Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Own production services and participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Optimize storage, compute, and data movement costs while maintaining performance and availability.
Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Support infrastructure automation and operational excellence across the platform.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong software development experience in Python.
Experience building and operating backend services, distributed systems, or large-scale data platforms.
Professional experience with AWS and deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters.
Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestrators.
Experience designing data pipelines, ETL systems, or data processing frameworks.
Experience developing containerized applications, backend microservices, and event-driven systems or data pipelines.
Past experience in the autonomous driving or automotive industry, specifically backend and cloud development.
Preferred: strong ownership and project delivery experience from design through production operations.
Preferred: experience building distributed systems or cloud data platforms processing large-scale datasets.
