Responsibilities

Build software services and platforms that support internal and external Stripe teams.
Plan and prioritize roadmaps.
Deliver value through collaboration with customers and stakeholders across Stripe.
Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Design, build, test, and ship software across varying technologies and stacks.

Requirements

7+ years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
Strong knowledge of algorithms and commonly used data structures.
Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems.
Strong coding skills in any programming language; the interview process is language agnostic.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across team workstreams.
Ability to work autonomously with significant responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks.
Preferred: experience optimizing the end-to-end performance of distributed systems.
Preferred: focus on internal and external user needs and a high bar for production quality.
