Software Engineer, Business Technology in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and ship full-stack features across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
  • Consult with users and stakeholders to understand workflows and identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Turn recurring user needs into reusable primitives, platforms, or middleware.
  • Build tools that increase autonomy and creative freedom for less-technical users.
  • Make product and prioritization decisions and own outcomes from idea through delivery.
  • Iterate quickly based on user feedback and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and domains.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience building production software, ideally full-stack.
  • Proficiency across Python, TypeScript, and React.
  • Ability to independently take a product from idea to shipped outcome.
  • Experience building platforms, primitives, or internal tools used by others.
  • Strong systems thinking, abstraction skills, judgment, and comfort operating with ambiguity.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $320,000–$405,000 USD.
  • Hybrid policy requiring staff to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
