Responsibilities

Develop scalable computer systems that manage large volumes of information and fulfill business goals for Stripe and its partners.
Design, implement, and deploy rules systems that produce internal assessments, perform scoring, and automate financial-risk mitigation.
Build tools that ingest and process signals from various sources for partner teams.
Participate in the complete software development workflow, including large-scale deployment.
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a 3- or 4-year U.S. or foreign degree is accepted.
Four years of experience in software development or a related occupation.
Four years of experience building software solutions in Python, Ruby, Objective-C, C++, or similar technologies.
Four years of experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems.
Four years of experience translating business needs into software requirements and designs.
Four years of experience debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Four years of experience with distributed systems.

Benefits

50% telecommuting permitted.
40 hours per week.

Multiple positions are available.

Salary: $173k - $260k/yr
