Responsibilities

  • Build and scale digital transit card solutions for cities and transit agencies using Host Card Emulation and Secure Element systems.
  • Develop software that interfaces with NFC controllers and secure elements.
  • Collaborate with Android platform teams to design and implement APIs and capabilities that improve Wallet functionality and security.
  • Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, Technical Program Managers, Business Development, Legal, and engineering teams across Google.
  • Engage with external partners to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and launch integrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, including back-end Java or Kotlin codebases.
  • At least 1 year of Android application development experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Preferred experience building Android software products, understanding Android internals, integrating server-side APIs, and using Android Jetpack Compose and logging.
  • Preferred experience working with external partners and device manufacturers and collaborating in cross-functional environments.
