Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Android features for DoorDash’s large-scale product platform.
  • Improve the codebase through continuous refactoring and architecture improvements.
  • Solve real-time data transfer and synchronization problems.
  • Extend and implement APIs.
  • Implement unit tests and apply Android testing best practices.
  • Stay current with industry standards in Android development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience.
  • Expertise developing with the Android SDK in a product environment.
  • Knowledge of systems and object-oriented programming.
  • Expertise with Android testing best practices and frameworks.
  • Experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile applications.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when evaluating options and making decisions.
