Responsibilities

Design and build modular native iOS features integrated with eBay self-service platforms and backend services.
Own iOS features through technical design, implementation, testing, release, and post-launch support.
Write clean, maintainable, crash-free, well-tested production code and refactor existing code for quality, performance, and testability.
Implement unit, integration, UI, and acceptance testing and automate testing for shipped features.
Participate in design discussions, evaluate implementation tradeoffs, provide estimates, and maintain technical documentation.
Support debugging of Xcode issues, OS upgrades, SDK changes, new iOS capabilities, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release processes.
Collaborate with backend and platform engineers on APIs, service integrations, backend services, and broader full-stack initiatives.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience designing, building, refactoring, and releasing native iOS applications in production.
Strong proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C and the ability to independently deliver iOS features.
Experience with Xcode, modern iOS APIs, Swift Concurrency, and SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimization, debugging, reliability, and automated testing.
Experience with code reviews, pairing, and engineering practices that improve code quality and team resiliency.
Working knowledge of backend development, APIs, and service integrations.
Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST, and/or GraphQL.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across mobile, platform, and product teams.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as coding assistants, test-generation tools, and code-review aids.
