Responsibilities

Design and implement simulation platform components and optimization algorithms for global AWS data center replenishment planning.
Own significant portions of the planning system across design, development, deployment, testing, and operational support.
Translate supply chain requirements from stakeholders and customers into scalable, maintainable software.
Participate in code reviews and maintain high software quality standards.
Investigate system issues, identify root causes, implement permanent fixes, and improve software performance and team processes.
Develop and review code, refactor systems, implement planner-requested features, investigate metrics, respond to alerts, and maintain platform reliability at scale.

Requirements

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
