Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate large-scale data processing, analytical, ETL, and API systems.
Develop solutions for data reporting, accuracy, consistency, and business insights.
Improve data models and database query performance.
Simplify and modernize existing data processing workflows.
Write technical design specifications and support documentation.
Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, product managers, and UI/UX teams on end-to-end solutions.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools or approaches that improve development efficiency.

Requirements

At least 1 year of software development experience.
Expertise developing API services using Java.
Proficiency in Python and Java.
Practical experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Kinesis, Athena, and Glue.
Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of data modeling for historical data.
Experience with Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
Proficiency with Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology field.
Preferred: experience with Prometheus, Druid, or InfluxDB.
Preferred: expertise in OLTP, OLAP, star and snowflake schemas, normalization, and dimensional modeling.
Preferred: experience designing scalable data pipelines and schema evolution.
Preferred: proficiency with OpenAPI and familiarity with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD for data workflows.
Preferred: understanding of data warehousing, root cause analysis, and large-scale pipeline optimization.
