Site Reliability Engineer II in USA

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to infrastructure as code practices, agentic coding workflows, and technical code reviews across the platform.
  • Support platform architecture decisions and technology standardization under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Help design and build a Kubernetes-based platform that automates core infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on application design patterns for consuming platform services.
  • Build and operate a self-service platform that provides datastore solutions with best-practice utilization patterns.
  • Partner with application teams to diagnose datastore performance bottlenecks and identify optimization opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Must be a United States citizen able to gain CJIS clearance for full US production access.
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience is required; platform automation or developer experience tooling is a plus.
  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems and familiarity with microservice architectures are required.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI tooling or LLM-powered developer tools is required.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-hosted services and architectures across Azure, AWS, or GCP is required.
  • Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic is required.
  • Familiarity with relational or NoSQL datastores such as MySQL, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL is required.
  • Experience with message queue systems such as Kafka is required.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi is required.

Salary: $116k - $185k/yr
