Responsibilities

Own the geocoder’s data foundation, including location-data modeling, consistency, and reliable serving.
Build pipelines that combine commercial and open data sources to expand geocoding coverage and quality across U.S. and international data.
Work across Scala, Python, and Rust and range from HorizonDB’s serving path to the Node.js/TypeScript API.
Introduce LLMs and agents into the data layer for enrichment, labeling, and quality with appropriate trust and safety guardrails.
Build systems supporting more than 1 billion API calls per day.
Talk with Radar customers and prospects, incorporate their feedback, and help make them successful.
Participate in the engineering on-call rotation.

Requirements

Approach the role as a generalist engineer rather than being tied to one technology stack.
Be interested in speaking with customers and prospects and helping them succeed.
Bring deep curiosity, tenacity, and the ability to work through difficult technical problems.
Experience as a technical co-founder is a bonus.
Experience with high-throughput, high-growth SaaS applications is a bonus.
Experience with geospatial infrastructure is a bonus.
Experience building large-scale data pipelines or data-integration systems is a bonus.
Experience using LLMs in data or ML pipelines for enrichment, labeling, or evaluation is a bonus.

The role is based in the NYC headquarters and engineering teams generally work together in person.
Most engineers participate in an on-call rotation.

Salary: $200k - $300k/yr
