Responsibilities

Develop reliable firmware controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
Own software design, development, testing, and integration.
Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
Write structured bare-metal, RTOS, or Linux-based embedded software in C++.
Build highly reliable and available software systems.
Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation techniques.
Provide flight operational support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, or engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
5+ years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of language concepts.
Preferred: experience with safety-critical software, particularly aerospace applications.
Preferred: experience with Python or Rust.
Preferred: strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
