Responsibilities

Develop reliable firmware controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
Own software design, development, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
Scope projects by capturing requirements and performing initial design trades for open-ended problems.
Write structured C++ software for bare-metal, RTOS-based, and Linux-based embedded processors.
Build highly reliable and available software systems.
Provide flight operational support and ensure software quality and performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of language concepts.
Preferred: safety-critical software experience, especially in aerospace applications.
Preferred: experience with Python or Rust.
Preferred: strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
