Responsibilities

Define testing strategies, objectives, success criteria, and performance baselines.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, performance, and backend applications.
Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines and reduce manual testing effort.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams on resolution.
Design and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, scalability, and capacity tests.
Identify bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers and recommend optimizations.
Validate system scalability and reliability under expected and peak workloads.
Partner with developers, architects, DevOps, and operations teams on performance improvements.
Support production-readiness reviews and performance-tuning initiatives.
Monitor performance trends across releases and provide data-driven recommendations.
Mentor engineering teams and contribute technical leadership to quality initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on automation and performance testing.
Strong experience designing automation frameworks and performance-testing solutions.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG or JUnit, Java, C#, JavaScript, Apache JMeter, and LoadRunner.
Experience integrating testing with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD.
Experience with Linux, virtualization, networking, cloud-native applications, and microservices-based applications.
Knowledge of monolithic, distributed, event-driven, and microservices architectures.
Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering concepts and AI-powered testing and quality engineering tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder-management, mentoring, and technical-leadership skills.
Ability to influence engineering teams through data-driven recommendations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
