Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test cases covering software functionality, performance, security, regression, integration, and exploratory scenarios.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand automated test scripts and frameworks for service-level, system-level, end-to-end, backend, and front-end applications.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, track, and help resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Perform API testing, including validation of contracts, payloads, error handling, and service dependencies.
  • Validate containerized microservices, deployments, service-to-service communication, configuration changes, and scalability behavior.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support testing across development and deployment environments.
  • Use version control and configuration management systems to maintain test scripts, cases, and related artifacts.
  • Prepare test reports, track test coverage and defect metrics, and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, senior testers, DevOps teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to test planning, automation strategy, continuous improvement, and testing process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience testing distributed, microservices-based applications.
  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions across service-level and end-to-end testing.
  • Proficiency coding automated test suites for backend services and consumer-facing applications.
  • Solid experience with API testing, preferably RESTful services.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized microservices.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience supporting and validating applications deployed through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, TestRail, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with Robot Framework, Python, and other microservices testing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, microservices concepts, and test methodologies.
  • Ability to write detailed test cases, maintain test documentation, and communicate effectively across teams.
