Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate ASW, BSW, and MCAL software components for BorgWarner electrification products.
  • Create software builds, releases, delivery packages, and associated release documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate software integration and testing with software component owners and project managers.
  • Specify, execute, and document software integration tests, including SWE5 testing.
  • Debug and analyze integration problems on bench and support platform software integration.
  • Maintain and shape common software architecture, including AUTOSAR configuration, SWC compositions, connectors, and multicore optimization.
  • Implement and advance CI/CD and build automation capabilities, including automated testing.
  • Lead enhancements to controls, modules, and component architectures in alignment with strategic roadmaps.
  • Define high-level software architectures and solutions based on customer and OEM requirements.
  • Mentor, coach, and technically guide engineers while coordinating with architects, testers, project managers, suppliers, customers, and other departments.
  • Develop and manage automotive cybersecurity requirements, standards, and solutions for controllers and vehicle systems.
  • Implement and support secure boot, secure flashing and OTA, secure diagnostics, secure debug, IDS, SecOC, secure tokens, HSM services, and cryptographic solutions.
  • Ensure requirements traceability, software quality, and compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, and related automotive processes.

Requirements

  • B.E., B.Tech, M.E., or M.Tech in Electronics, Communication, Electrical, Power Electronics, or Instrumentation.
  • At least 5 years of automotive BSW development experience and at least 3 years working as an AUTOSAR software architect and software integrator.
  • The posting also identifies 7–9 years of overall experience, preferably in automotive embedded software development, including at least 5 years in automotive cybersecurity software development.
  • Strong AUTOSAR toolchain expertise, including BSW configuration, Bootloader, communication, diagnostics, memory, network management, OS, MCAL, and RTE integration.
  • Strong C/C++ embedded software development and debugging experience in multicore and multithreaded environments.
  • Experience with Makefile development, C/C++ compilers and linkers, build environments, build automation, continuous integration and delivery, and automated testing.
  • Experience with automotive cybersecurity architecture, secure system design, HSM key management, cryptographic services, secure provisioning, Vector HSM, MICROSAR, Crypto stack integration, and secure vehicle functions.
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS, XCP, XETK, OTA/FOTA, SecOC, and automotive diagnostic and communication stacks.
  • Hands-on experience with Vector DaVinci, EB tresos, ETAS ISOLAR, Infineon TC3xx microcontrollers, and embedded hardware schematics.
  • Experience with configuration, change, requirements, unit-testing, serial-communication, cross-compilation, and debugging tools listed in the posting.
  • Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434, TARA, cybersecurity concepts and lifecycle work products, UNECE UN R155 and UN R156, ASPICE, ISO 26262, TS 16949, V-Model development, and requirements engineering.
  • Experience using Jira and Polarion for activity and requirements management.
  • Ability to guide technical design decisions, mentor engineers, communicate clearly, collaborate across disciplines, and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with OEM application library integration, ASAP2/A2L tools, and Agile automotive software development environments is desirable or preferred.
