Own test strategy and test plans for major features, including end-to-end flows, coverage, scope, release criteria, and test boundaries.
Lead test plan walkthroughs with developers, product managers, and other partners before key release milestones.
Run and guide functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing, including API testing, and close coverage gaps.
Investigate complex failures using logs, traces, and system metrics, and lead triage and defect prioritization.
Mentor junior and mid-level quality engineers on test design, tooling, problem-solving, and quality practices.
Improve quality engineering processes, tooling, and documentation, and share learnings with nearby teams.
Requirements
Several years of experience in software quality engineering or a related testing role.
Experience owning test strategy and planning for complex features, including scope, release criteria, and test boundaries.
Experience with functional, exploratory, regression, and integration testing, plus some API testing experience.
Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, or qTest and willingness to learn new tools.
Ability to clearly explain problems, risks, and trade-offs to engineers, product partners, and leadership.
Organized, detail-minded, and experienced mentoring others in Agile development environments.
Preferred: experience testing consumer electronics, peripherals, or embedded firmware; familiarity with PlayStation products; Microsoft Windows testing experience; telemetry, event tracking, or performance testing experience; and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or test automation frameworks.
A passion for gaming is preferred.
