Responsibilities

Build reliable voice AI systems using retrieval-augmented generation, dynamic language-model routing, and new transcription systems.
Design and operate distributed call scheduling systems handling concurrency, time zones, retries, provider limits, and failure recovery.
Extend agents across voice and other communication channels while maintaining shared context.
Develop memory and reasoning systems for customer workflows.
Build tools that configure agents, diagnose issues, and connect with CRM systems, calendars, and email.
Improve tracing and observability for production issue diagnosis and resolution.

Requirements

Production experience building and owning distributed systems with strong software fundamentals and end-to-end project delivery.
Experience as a product engineer building customer-facing systems rather than working exclusively in machine learning or data roles.
Production experience with Python, FastAPI, or TypeScript and PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar data stores.
Experience with real-time systems, audio processing, voice infrastructure, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
Production experience with language models, AI agents, or similar systems.
Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with LiveKit, Temporal, message queues, React, and OpenTelemetry is useful.
An independent, action-oriented approach with sound judgment about code quality, reliability, and business outcomes.

Benefits

Annual compensation of €85,000 to €160,000 plus equity.
Visa sponsorship is available.
On-site work in Berlin, Germany.
