Responsibilities

  • Identify high-impact opportunities with engineering and product leads.
  • Plan, scope, and prototype end-to-end solutions from design through rollout.
  • Make technical decisions and recommendations that establish the foundation of the retail platform.
  • Gather direct customer feedback, visit stores, understand operator workflows, and monitor industry trends.
  • Deploy AI-native customer experiences powered by Toast IQ.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience building and shipping production software to customers.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, or another object-oriented programming language.
  • Comfort working across different technology stacks and languages.
  • Comfort with testing methodologies and frameworks.
  • Growth mindset, empathy, humility, and a passion for improving user experiences.
  • Startup mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
