Senior Software Engineer (Palantir Foundry) in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to adopt modern software practices, AI-assisted and agentic engineering, continuous-release deployment, and user-centered development.
  • Decompose business problems into actionable specifications for agentic development.
  • Pair with client developers, engineers, and military service members to accelerate delivery of valuable user stories.
  • Deliver software iteratively, gather real-time user feedback, and build delivery and user metrics into systems.
  • Develop both frontend and backend software, including APIs, in secure government-focused environments.
  • Lead within the Rise8 product team by managing technical debt, facilitating engineering discussions, and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Active DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
  • Working proficiency to advanced experience with Palantir Foundry and Warp Core is required.
  • Six to ten years of software development experience across a variety of programming languages is required.
  • Experience with AI in software development, Test Driven Development, agile methodologies, API development, containers, and Linux environments is required.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, programming language theory, software architecture, networks, databases, and design patterns is required.
  • Experience with both frontend and backend development is required.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Ansible, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix is required or expected.
  • A BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include engineer training or mentoring, cloud-native application development, product or development team leadership, continuous delivery, direct client work, and DoD Software Factory experience.
