Senior Software Engineer, Mobile Platform in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Front’s cross-platform client-side codebase.
  • Improve the user experience and performance of the React Native mobile application.
  • Work at the native level to expose Android and iOS APIs and improve performance.
  • Serve as a cross-functional subject-matter expert on the Android and iOS ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with Electron and web counterparts to enable cross-platform feature delivery.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to other engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience building and maintaining fast, reliable, real-time mobile applications.
  • Experience with C/C++ and React Native.
  • A product-minded approach focused on building a strong user experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to evaluate engineering trade-offs pragmatically.
  • Experience with JNI, Android NDK, and Kotlin is a bonus.
  • Experience with TypeScript is a bonus.
