Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and evolve the Kafka-based Currents data export system at scale.
Develop and improve critical data streaming systems that process tens of billions of messages daily.
Bring software projects from concept through production and advance foundational systems.
Mentor engineers and lead by example in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

At least 5 years of full-stack development experience.
Experience building foundational systems at scale and spearheading software projects that significantly advanced organizational goals.
Experience with Kafka at scale or a comparable technology.
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and improve colleagues’ effectiveness.
Strong communication, organizational, self-starting, and teamwork skills.
Professional experience with distributed systems or microservices is preferred.
Java, Kotlin, Confluent, or React experience is a bonus.
