Responsibilities

Build and scale test automation frameworks, runners, orchestration services, device-farm integrations, and supporting infrastructure.
Develop intelligent tooling for test authoring, selection, execution, maintenance, failure analysis, and debugging.
Improve test reliability, observability, failure diagnosis, and maintenance across Roblox’s testing ecosystem.
Integrate automated quality checks and actionable test feedback into development and CI/CD workflows.
Own technical initiatives from problem definition and design through production deployment, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with application, platform, QA, infrastructure, and developer productivity teams.

Requirements

Experience designing, building, testing, and operating production software in large codebases.
Strong programming skills in C++, Python, Go, or another modern programming language.
Experience building test automation frameworks, developer tools, distributed systems, CI/CD infrastructure, or engineering platforms.
Experience designing and evolving scalable, reliable, observable services or frameworks.
Experience developing or supporting systems across multiple platforms or environments.
Ability to own projects, communicate technical decisions, collaborate across teams, and improve the experience of internal engineering users.
Preferred: experience with Appium, Selenium, mobile, desktop, or game testing.
Preferred: experience with CI/CD, release engineering, developer productivity, or internal platform systems.
Preferred: experience applying LLMs, agents, or other AI techniques to developer tools and testing workflows.

Benefits

Full-time employees are eligible for equity compensation and benefits.
Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday.
For San Mateo-based roles, the listed annual base salary range is $243,290–$295,250 USD.
