Responsibilities

Gather data requirements from business partners and stakeholders.
Collect required data in collaboration with engineering, product teams, and third parties.
Design, develop, and implement large-scale, high-volume data models and pipelines for data lakes and data warehouses.
Develop data quality checks, conduct QA, and implement monitoring routines.
Improve the reliability and scalability of ETL processes.
Manage data products that deliver high-quality, trustworthy data.
Help onboard and support new engineers.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience.
At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role.
Proficiency in Python or Java.
At least 3 years of experience with ETL orchestration and workflow management tools such as Airflow, Flink, Oozie, and Azkaban using AWS or GCP.
Expertise in database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing.
At least 3 years of experience with distributed data ecosystems such as Spark, Hive, Druid, and Presto, plus streaming technologies such as Kafka or Flink.
Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, or other DBMS platforms.
Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Superset, and Looker.
Strong communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to think strategically and analyze and interpret market and consumer information.
Must be located near the Sunnyvale, San Francisco, or Seattle engineering hubs.
