Senior Software Engineer, Core UI in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own end-to-end development of user-facing features and systems across mobile, desktop, VR, and consoles.
  • Develop robust, extensible systems powering Roblox’s core surfaces, including Home, Avatar, and Search.
  • Create scalable solutions for high-quality, intuitive, and reliable user interfaces.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver cohesive user experiences.
  • Design clean APIs and well-structured frontend systems.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software development experience building large-scale, user-facing applications.
  • Strong expertise in modern frontend technologies such as React or similar frameworks, component-based architecture, and state management patterns.
  • Experience delivering high-quality user experiences with attention to usability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles and frontend architecture.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • The listed base salary applies to roles based at Roblox’s San Mateo, California headquarters.

Salary: $196k - $295k/yr
