Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Java and Akka.
Build distributed batch and real-time data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Design data transformation, ingestion, integration, data lake, and data warehouse solutions.
Develop and optimize low-latency, high-throughput real-time processing applications.
Write reusable Java code and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune large-scale distributed backend and data systems for high availability.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in backend development and distributed data processing.
Proven expertise designing and building scalable systems with Java.
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, or related big data technologies.
Proficiency with Java-based frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB or Aerospike.
Ability to use or demonstrate fluency with AI and agentic engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks.
