Senior Software Engineer, CAPE in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement physical infrastructure management software, availability platforms, and frameworks for customers hosted on Crusoe’s AI infrastructure.
  • Build reliable, scalable, secure, and operationally efficient cloud platforms and distributed systems.
  • Develop workflows, interfaces, platforms, and automation tooling for cloud deployment, configuration management, and operations.
  • Design highly available cloud architectures optimized for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development and operations teams to support platform integration, deployment, and adoption.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth with engineering managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
  • Proven experience building and running reliable, scalable, efficient, and secure cloud platforms and systems in production.
  • Fluency in one or more of Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and secure configuration implementation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach to working with development and operations teams.
  • Commitment to Crusoe’s company values.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
  • Preferred: experience in a fast-paced startup environment and interest in energy-efficient AI infrastructure, sustainability, and clean energy innovation.
