Senior Software Engineer, Backend in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale backend systems powering consumer-facing products.
  • Build and refine APIs for instant, seamless customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with product, credit and finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and roadmap planning.
  • Drive improvements in code quality, security, and operational excellence.
  • Share knowledge, mentor peers, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Experience with .NET (C#) or similar frameworks.
  • Experience scaling consumer-facing products with significant transaction volumes.
  • Ability to use AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Augment, or Factory to improve productivity, code quality, and collaboration.
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills and commitment to inclusion, feedback, and continuous learning.
