Senior Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and launch machine-learning models that generate maps from raw data.
  • Collaborate with onboard engineering teams to evolve Waymo’s mapping format for automation.
  • Apply statistical analysis to validate large-scale system changes.
  • Build backend infrastructure for storing and processing map data.
  • Scale mapping systems to support worldwide coverage.
  • Work across labeling, training, evaluation, and inference and measure impact on the overall system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical analysis, experiment design, and quantitative evaluation of machine-learning models or data pipelines.
  • Experience building scalable data-processing pipelines with distributed frameworks such as Google Data Flow or Apache Beam.
  • Ability to own complex technical problems end to end and deliver measurable results in a collaborative environment.
  • Passion for good software engineering.
