Senior Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver core components of the Atlas Stream Processing execution engine.
  • Shape system architecture, development practices, and escalation policies as the team and product grow.
  • Design, write, test, debug, and performance-tune distributed and highly concurrent software.
  • Identify problems, implement solutions, and deliver complex database or distributed-systems projects.
  • Mentor fellow engineers and assume ownership and accountability for projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues on core stream processing functionality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building database services, distributed systems, and/or foundational cloud services at scale.
  • Strong background in database internals or core data processing components, including query execution, storage engines, autotuning, or workload optimization.
  • Proven ability to maintain large, long-lived distributed or highly concurrent codebases.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and experience with software design, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication, collaboration, project ownership, and mentoring skills.
  • Track record of identifying problems, implementing solutions, and delivering complex projects.
  • Hands-on modern C++ experience in performance-sensitive systems is preferred.
  • Experience with stream processing, query engines, Flink, Spark, Beam, Kafka Streams, or database query engines is preferred.

  • U.S. base salary range of $95,000—$187,000 annually, with compensation determined by skills, experience, qualifications, and work location.
