Senior Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and develop advanced VR/AR features at the OS level for unreleased PICO devices.
  • Contribute to the core 3D framework driving the platform’s graphics capabilities.
  • Write and maintain code, fix bugs, analyze performance, and resolve compilation and toolchain issues.
  • Research solutions to technically complex problems and collaborate with engineers and product managers on implementation approaches.
  • Prepare progress reports and data summaries for leadership.
  • Assist QA with device setup and build configuration for testing and maintain build-pipeline stability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced and junior team members.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus 2 years of related experience; or bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressive related experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing, implementing, testing, and debugging 3D rendering-engine submodules using C/C++.
  • At least 2 years of experience optimizing software performance for mobile AR/VR devices, including power consumption, memory usage, and CPU/GPU resources.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing, implementing, optimizing, testing, and debugging real-time GPU-based rendering features with modern graphics APIs.
  • At least 2 years of experience debugging native software on prototype hardware and unstable, in-development UNIX-based operating systems at user and kernel level.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining portable, backwards-compatible application and binary interfaces.
