Senior Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build high-quality, maintainable, well-tested backend services.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, customer reliability support, and leadership to evolve systems and achieve business goals.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing backend services.
  • Investigate, prototype, and propose improvements to user experience.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and troubleshoot and debug incidents.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and delivering SaaS products.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or Golang.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as pytest.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating technical specifications.
  • Ability to scope work, coordinate cross-functionally, identify risks, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Experience with software development practices including code reviews, testing, automation, and debugging.
  • Ability to adapt to change and a rapid development pace, with a proactive ownership-oriented approach.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow is a bonus.
