Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and manage the core security stack, including SIEM, EDR, and NTA, with telemetry ingestion from cloud, SaaS, and endpoint environments.
  • Author, deploy, and tune MITRE ATT&CK-mapped detection rules while implementing Detection-as-Code and reducing false positives.
  • Own the end-to-end incident response lifecycle, serve as Incident Commander for critical P1/P2 events, and develop automated SOAR playbooks.
  • Use LLMs to summarize alerts, generate detection logic, implement Detection-as-Code, and draft SOAR playbooks.
  • Produce SOC 2 Type II operational evidence, own the CC7 Monitoring & Detection domain, and report SecOps performance to leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on security engineering experience with depth in SIEM, incident response, SOAR, detection engineering, and threat hunting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build security infrastructure from zero, including tool selection, baseline configuration, and policy definition.
  • Strong knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, custom log-source integration, and incident severity matrix mapping.
  • Extensive experience managing incident response lifecycles and tuning workflows to meet MTTD and MTTR SLAs.
  • Working knowledge of SOC 2 Type II requirements, especially CC7 Monitoring & Detection and third-party audit evidence standards.
  • Routine use of LLMs such as ChatGPT and Claude in security workflows, with the ability to demonstrate recent AI usage.
