Responsibilities

  • Use agile and lean methods and participate throughout the development process from inception through release.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scenarios from functional and technical requirements and change requests.
  • Maintain, monitor, and refactor automation and regression test suites.
  • Apply software engineering principles to test engineering and improve the ongoing value of test suites.
  • Collaborate with architects, software engineers, QA professionals, and business analysts to diagnose issues and improve software design for automation.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and technical roadmap of the software automation toolset and automated testing processes.
  • Ensure manual and automated tests follow testing processes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing before deployment.
  • Coach and mentor QA engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior QA Automation professional in a technology business environment.
  • Significant software testing experience and practical experience developing test strategies in complex technology environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java automation frameworks, continuous integration and delivery, test-driven development, and testing technologies.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks including Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, JUnit, and TestNG.
  • Experience using testing and continuous integration and delivery toolsets to obtain fast quality states.
  • Experience mentoring technical colleagues.
  • Experience collaborating effectively across software product team disciplines and intra-team dependencies.
  • Solid knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, best practices, toolsets, automation models, and approaches.
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and first-hand experience working in an Agile team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
