Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to define quality requirements and test strategies.
  • Create, execute, and maintain test plans and documentation.
  • Perform manual and automated exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, UI, API, backend, and mobile testing as applicable.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects and lead root-cause analysis with developers.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality best practices and process improvements.
  • Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and validate accessibility against WCAG/ADA standards.
  • Contribute to performance and security testing efforts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software QA experience.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, processes, and test design techniques.
  • Experience testing web technologies, RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and backend services.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks including Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
  • Experience with accessibility testing using tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers.
  • Experience with bug-tracking systems such as JIRA.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Preferred: experience testing native iOS or Android applications and familiarity with Xcode, Android Studio, Appium, Detox, BrowserStack, TestFlight, or Google Play Console.
  • Preferred: experience with accessibility strategy, performance and security testing, healthcare applications, EHR systems, or HIPAA/PHIPA-related environments.
