Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks for Flutter applications across iOS, Android, and Web.
  • Build automated testing solutions using Dart, flutter_test, integration_test, Patrol, Appium, or similar technologies.
  • Lead the technical transition of existing QA automation activities, documentation, and testing assets.
  • Audit and refactor legacy automation scripts and eliminate flaky, redundant, or unreliable tests.
  • Develop automated end-to-end, smoke, regression, functional, UI, and API testing suites.
  • Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions and Cloud Build.
  • Implement continuous testing processes and collaborate with developers to improve testability and shift-left quality practices.
  • Configure testing environments, emulators, simulators, cloud device platforms, and cross-browser test environments.
  • Execute tests across multiple devices, operating systems, and browser environments.
  • Develop and maintain automated API tests for backend integrations and end-to-end workflows.
  • Monitor execution times, test coverage, pass rates, and test flakiness.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation standards, clean code practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with international engineering teams and stakeholders to support software quality and release readiness.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in automated UI and API testing for mobile and web applications.
  • Strong experience developing test automation frameworks for Flutter applications.
  • Hands-on programming experience with Dart.
  • Experience with Flutter testing libraries such as flutter_test, integration_test, and Flutter Driver.
  • Strong knowledge of automated end-to-end, functional, smoke, and regression testing.
  • Experience maintaining automated tests across iOS, Android, and Web.
  • Experience configuring automated testing within CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with GitHub Actions, Google Cloud Build, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based device testing environments such as Firebase Test Lab.
  • Strong knowledge of REST and GraphQL API testing and automation, including mock services and backend integration validation.
  • Proficiency with Git, code reviews, and collaborative software development workflows.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and test automation design patterns including Page Object Model and BDD.
  • Experience improving existing automation frameworks, refactoring legacy test suites, or owning established QA environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Availability to work 100% onsite in Guadalajara, Mexico, five days per week.
  • Preferred experience with Patrol, Appium, Playwright, Selenium, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
  • Preferred knowledge of mobile application performance testing, Flutter profiling, memory leaks, frame rates, and scalable continuous testing strategies.
