Responsibilities

Own machine learning initiatives from problem formulation and offline evaluation through production deployment and online A/B testing.
Build recommendation, retrieval, ranking, contextual bandit, notification targeting, and personalized discovery systems.
Develop production LLM pipelines, grounding workflows, and automated evaluation loops for market insights and financial content.
Architect low-latency model-serving services and real-time feature pipelines while improving reliability and leading incident response.
Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to shape the roadmap, improve engineering quality, and mentor L3-L4 engineers.
Build responsible AI-native workflows and automation that improve delivery velocity, cost, quality, and business outcomes.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering and software development, equivalent to 60 months.
Experience shipping production ML systems that improve customer or business metrics.
Experience in recommendation systems, multi-stage ranking and retrieval, contextual bandits, notification targeting, or production LLM applications.
Strong software engineering and data skills in Python or Go, with hands-on experience using modern ML and data stacks.
Practical knowledge of offline model evaluation, training-serving skew mitigation, and online A/B experimentation tied to business metrics.
Ability to drive complex projects end-to-end, make pragmatic architectural trade-offs, and mentor junior engineers.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Benefits

Remote-first work arrangement with quarterly in-person working sessions called “surges.”
Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), equity eligibility, and bonus eligibility are offered; equity and bonus are separate from base salary.
Annual base salary range is $213,750–$225,000 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
Candidates may submit a maximum of 3 applications within a 6-month period.
