Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain a production-grade consumer Android application.
Contribute to platform-level architecture and scale core app infrastructure.
Solve engineering challenges while balancing product quality and delivery speed.
Partner with product and design to shape new features and user experiences.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders on shared objectives.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior mobile engineers.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional mobile app development experience, including 2 or more years shipping production Android applications.
Strong Kotlin expertise and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
Experience integrating Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
Familiarity with protobufs, REST, and gRPC for mobile backend integration.
Proficiency with Android unit, instrumentation, and UI testing strategies and mobile CI/CD pipeline maintenance.
Experience building consumer-facing mobile products.
At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
Proven mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers.
Strong computer science fundamentals, ideally supported by a rigorous university background.
Clear communication and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work.

Benefits

Salary range of $160,000 to $200,000 USD annually.
Visa sponsorship is available.
On-site role in San Francisco, California; candidates must be local to San Francisco or Seattle.
