Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and own the full lifecycle of internal services and tools for the development organization.
  • Build complex backend services and APIs primarily in Go.
  • Deploy owned services, maintain Helm charts, and work directly with Kubernetes clusters.
  • Manage the infrastructure around services using Terraform.
  • Operate owned systems and participate in on-call support.
  • Improve existing internal services, integrations, and developer tooling.
  • Collaborate with development teams as internal customers and contribute across the wider system where useful.

Requirements

  • Strong, current expertise in Go is required.
  • Experience developing complex backend services and APIs.
  • Confidence working with Kubernetes clusters and deploying services with Helm.
  • Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and key-value stores such as Redis.
  • Advanced AI fluency, including applying AI to complex problem-solving, using Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and evaluating model cost-benefit tradeoffs.
  • Experience with AWS and GitLab CI is nice to have.
  • Experience building internal developer tools is nice to have.
