Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship internal services and developer tooling primarily in Go.
  • Own the lifecycle of services, including deployment, maintenance, and on-call support.
  • Build complex backend services and APIs.
  • Maintain Helm charts and work directly with Kubernetes clusters.
  • Manage infrastructure around owned services with Terraform.
  • Evolve existing internal services, integrations, and the wider tooling estate.
  • Work with development teams as internal customers and contribute to related system areas where useful.
  • Apply advanced AI capabilities, including retrieval-augmented generation, to complex problem solving and assess the value of different AI approaches.

Requirements

  • Strong, current expertise in Go.
  • Experience building complex backend services and APIs.
  • Comfort deploying services with Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Postgres and key-value stores such as Redis.
  • Advanced AI fluency, including retrieval-augmented generation and evaluating model or approach return on investment.
