Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and debug end-to-end product features across Java/Spring Boot backend APIs and Angular frontend components.
  • Develop and maintain Java 21/Spring Boot APIs backed by PostgreSQL and MyBatis.
  • Manage database schema changes with Liquibase.
  • Implement Redis-based caching and session-management strategies.
  • Build reactive Angular 19 components using RxJS and client-defined UI frameworks.
  • Write and run unit and end-to-end tests focused on critical business logic.
  • Use AWS S3, ECS, CloudWatch, and Bedrock for storage, deployment, observability, and AI integrations.
  • Estimate feature complexity, proactively communicate scope changes and risks, and support delivery planning.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and weekly client-facing meetings.
  • Collaborate with peer engineers to shape workflows and maintain code quality.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including meaningful backend experience with Java and Spring Boot or a comparable framework.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Java 21 and modern Spring Boot patterns including dependency injection, service layers, and configuration management.
  • Hands-on production experience with Angular, preferably Angular 14 through Angular 19, plus RxJS and TypeScript.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, including joins, indexing, and query fundamentals.
  • Experience with MyBatis, Hibernate, or a similar ORM and understanding of mapped queries versus direct SQL execution.
  • Production experience with Redis caching or pub/sub patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS S3, ECS, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong testing discipline with unit and end-to-end testing of critical business logic.
  • Ability to navigate large existing codebases, resolve ambiguity independently, estimate complexity, and communicate risks effectively.
  • Advanced English proficiency for collaboration with US-based teams and stakeholders.
  • Active use of AI tools in the day-to-day development workflow.
