Responsibilities

  • Build, ship, and maintain secure user experiences across Proton Docs, Proton Sheets, the Docs homepage, and future products.
  • Translate product specifications into technical requirements and lead successful implementation.
  • Improve the development lifecycle, tools, code structure, developer experience, and system architecture.
  • Write clear, concise, testable code and improve code quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Scope, plan, and execute features, technical initiatives, and greenfield projects.
  • Mentor teammates and foster learning, creativity, accountability, quality assurance, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of JavaScript methodologies and design patterns.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript or another typed language.
  • Experience with React or at least two similar frameworks, including development of performant and reusable components.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including SOLID, design patterns, and CI/CD.
  • Product mindset focused on high-quality user experiences.
  • Experience working in a distributed team.
  • Preferred experience includes client-side security and OWASP risks, UX, accessibility, internationalization, localization, Grafana or other monitoring platforms, architectural decomposition, NodeJS, and cryptography concepts.
