Responsibilities

Build firmware and software for host/client verification of product form, fit, and function.
Develop low-level firmware for microcontrollers interfacing with robots and control algorithms for commercial off-the-shelf data-acquisition tools.
Create device-side validation capabilities using SSH, gRPC, and debugging tools.
Debug issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries and translate solutions into automated production tests and failure-analysis procedures.
Improve test automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.
Participate in design-for-test and design-for-manufacturing reviews with electrical engineering and product firmware teams.

Requirements

BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Strong C programming ability for embedded systems.
Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.
Experience developing firmware in bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux environments.
Understanding and application of coding best practices, board bring-up, and debugging.
Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and similar bus protocols.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: 10+ years of relevant experience, new-design bring-up and debugging, low- and high-speed interface experience, data-acquisition and analysis fundamentals, microcontroller-core experience, embedded Linux deployment experience, and proficiency with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
