Senior Firmware Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Lead FPGA architecture, standards, development, and review processes.
  • Design, architect, simulate, and integrate VHDL designs into FPGAs or SoCs.
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers on processor bring-up, board support packages, and hardware/software integration.
  • Develop VHDL/Verilog test benches and use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to validate designs.
  • Optimize hardware-accelerated algorithms, MIPS usage, and AXI or AXI-Stream bus implementations.
  • Develop prototypes and mature them into products through ground and flight testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience developing HDL firmware for FPGA devices.
  • Expertise in VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design.
  • Experience with FPGA design tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus.
  • Strong hardware/software debugging skills using standard lab equipment.
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience with multi-gigabit SERDES, DDR memory buses, Ethernet MAC and PHY interfaces, FPGAs, SPI, I2C, embedded software, timers, interrupts, ADCs, embedded Linux, device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, Unix/Linux tools, Python, MATLAB, and infrared image sensor technology.

Salary: $191k - $254k/yr
