Senior Cloud Engineer I in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure from initial architecture through implementation and operations.
  • Design self-service Infrastructure-as-Code templates and automation workflows to reduce manual work.
  • Maintain secure, audit-ready FedRAMP configurations, eliminate infrastructure drift, and streamline patching.
  • Partner with Engineering to launch services, respond to high-priority incidents, and implement post-mortem improvements.
  • Use Datadog and similar observability tools to optimize resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Mentor junior Cloud Engineers through code and design reviews and contribute to cloud strategy.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in cloud systems or platform engineering.
  • Proven experience managing complex, production-grade AWS infrastructure.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.
  • Strong experience with Datadog or similar observability tools and Git/GitLab.
  • Fluent scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access restricted federal customer environments.
  • Experience with FedRAMP-regulated or highly compliant cloud environments is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent real-world experience, is preferred.
