Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, highly available payment platform and ledger systems.
Lead multi-team technical initiatives and collaborate with product, data science, operations, and engineering teams.
Architect complex features and improve system performance using data-driven decision-making.
Identify systemic improvements that streamline development, reduce toil, and improve technical and operational quality.
Lead project teams, set technical direction and strategy, and drive alignment with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders.
Conduct technical design and code reviews and mentor junior engineers through walkthroughs and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role.
Experience leading the design, implementation, and deployment of one or more high-scale, cross-functional payment systems.
Hands-on technical leadership experience, including project leadership, technical direction, strategy setting, and engineer mentoring.
Proven experience defining product or technical strategy and driving cross-functional alignment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams, departments, and leadership.
A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
1+ years of payments or fintech industry experience as a backend software engineer is a plus.

Benefits

Salary: $196k - $227k/yr
