Responsibilities

Design and lead major Device Platform features end-to-end, including the IoT core, device-metrics platform, and licensing ledger.
Architect, ship, and communicate backend systems that provide consistency, low latency, and high uptime at scale.
Lead operational improvements that increase system robustness, reduce pager noise, and improve incident learning.
Drive design reviews, code reviews, written technical communication, and direct mentorship.
Listen to engineering teams and help shape shared technical direction and the platform roadmap.

Requirements

6+ years of experience building backend services with consistency, latency, and uptime guarantees at scale.
Fluency in at least one server-side language; Python or Go is preferred, while Ruby or JavaScript with Node.js is also welcome.
Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, shape shared technical direction, and ship dependable platform changes.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for FedRAMP compliance.
Must be able to work onsite five days per week.
